The best of Scottish Music touring across Denmark, Finland, Germany, Norway and Sweden

A unique showcase of Scottish music will tour across Northern Europe in November and early December 2024. Featuring two of Scotland’s most talented groups, it offers audiences an opportunity to delve deeper into Scottish music and culture.

FARA, from the islands of Orkney in the far north of Scotland, bring their energetic and unique Scottish fiddle style and stunning harmonies to the stage. Winning the German Critics award in 2019, they have already performed at major festivals such as Rudolstadt, Tønder, Farsund and many more. Their latest album Energy Islands tells the tale of their home, Orkney, and its role in generating wind and sea power.  Expect fast and furious fiddles melding with beautiful harmonies.

Joined by The Langan Band, who have taken audiences by storm with their fast-paced and yet gentle mix of harmonies, fiddle, acoustic bass, guitar and foot percussion, the trio have exploded onto the worldwide stage since 2021, when after the pandemic they released their critically acclaimed album Plight O’ Sheep. Recorded on the Island of Lewis in the far Outer Hebrides of Scotland, the album is influenced by some of the most beautiful scenery that is home to Scotland and celebrates intricate songs with fast moving music.

Both islands are celebrated as part of this unique and original tour, which offers the first and probably only chance to see both artists share a stage.
